Great diagram. You have motivation here, for me the motivation is the sum total of the personal history and the percieved end goal. Each combination is unique. Certainly in my experience the personal history (in education terms) shapes the learner experience and this may determine learners needs in terms of support guidence, social interaction and scaffolding.
