I too am one of those victims of education. It was appalling how the education authority dealt with the whole business (I’ve now left education). Not because they were unkind throughout the process (and process is the operative word), but because they never once addressed the root causes of my illness – all the things you outlined above.
The thing is, it’s causing society a fortune – not just in terms of money and expertise – but also in terms of the huge cost to individual lives.
