A pleasure Andrew. I decided to follow in Andrea’s footsteps, but soon discovered that her model was discontinued. With a little searching I found that the Innov-is F440E was its successor. The next model up in teh Brother range was almost the same price, due to an offer valid in August, and had a slightly bigger embroidery area as well as being slightly faster, but I rejected it in the end to enhance my chances of lugging the machine to workshops, since it was significantly heavier and larger. I was finally convinced by finding a reduced price, ex-demo model being sold. I had already rejected machines that were multi-purpose and I stuck to Brother, so the choice in the end was not hard. Good luck on your embroidery journey!

First off, please let me thank you again for coming to my rescue in Bordeaux. I really enjoyed our conversations and you have inspired me to play with wearable technology.

I have been talking to Andrea about Turtle Stitch and she suggested asking you about your embroidery machine – Innov-is F440E. I have finally (2 years seems like a long time at school) managed to find some funding for a machine, but I have been overwhelmed by all the possibilities.

Also do you have any hints and tips 🙂

Speak soon,

Andy
